Description:
Midtown - ABOUT CASEY'S CABINS Location, location, location! Casey's is on Ruidoso's main street, one block from the river and steps away from the Village's best restaurants, shops and cafes. Our cozy, and rustic cabins have been the “Heart of Midtown” since their construction in the 1940s. The cabins vary in size from single rooms to a large three-bedroom house, making Casey's the perfect spot for individuals, couples or large groups looking to rent multiple cabins together at one convenient site. Casey's is located 3 blocks from Wingfield park, a 10 minute drive to Grindstone and Inn of the Mountain Gods, a 15 minutes drive to Ruidoso Winter Park and 30 minutes from Ski Apache.
- Black Bear is our largest cabin. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms plus 2 sleeper sofas (one upstairs, 1 on main floor), comfortably sleeping 12 guests. Built by the Casey Family in the 1970s , Black Bear served as their home every summer when they lived onsite to managed the property. We love this cabin’s funky 70s vibe, lawyer paneling (it’s not real wood!) and beautiful high ceilings featuring wood work. We don't love its outdated bathrooms which need to be renovated. That will hopefully happen soon! From the front door you enter into the living room, which has high vaulted ceilings and a lava rock fireplace featuring stones harvested by the Caseys. The large kitchen has a full-sized stove and refrigerator, and a dining room table. The master bedroom is located on the first floor; it has a comfy new queen bed and an en-suite bathroom. Also on the main floor in the living room is a queen sleeper sofa. Upstairs is a balcony with a fantastic view of Sudderth–perfect for watching parades and rallies. You'll also find two additional bedrooms upstairs, one with a king bed and the second with two queen beds. They are connected by a Jack-and-Jill restroom. In the hallwall next to the patio is a sleeper sofa. You will be renting the entire cabin. There is also a shared yard in front of the cabins that you're welcome to enjoy (it's directly on Sudderth, Ruidoso's main street, so it's the perfect spot for enjoying the various seasonal parades hosted by the Village).
