DESCRIPTION: Our Bear Country cabin has become a favorite for repeat guests. This well appointed, open concept cabin is warm and inviting. It is across the way from the little river, so a short walk will have you dipping your toes in the cool water or trying your luck at catching dinner. The living area is comfortable and features a beautiful wood burning fireplace, a large flat screen TV and a DVD player. Yes, we have all the popular sports and news channels and our high speed internet will keep you connected to the outside world. The cook’s kitchen is a delight and the gas grill on the wrap around deck is convenient for the chef. Sit on your deck in the morning and enjoy a quiet coffee (we provide the coffee) and watch deer and other wildlife wander by, maybe even the occasional Elk or Black Bear. Tip: Bring some apples if you would like to feed the deer. The open air hot tub is a real treat, especially after a day of golf, skiing, fishing or any of the other very popular activities we are known for. The two queen bedrooms are comfy and homey and a good night’s sleep is guaranteed. Located about a mile up the Upper Canyon, Bear Country is only a short drive to all of Ruidoso’s attractions including shopping, dining, horse racing, gambling and so much more. Check out the in-room directory for all the information you will need including our list of excellent restaurant suggestions (where the locals eat).
