SPECIAL Features: Two Rivers Cabin offers one of Ruidoso’s best locations with views of the pine-studded hills and within a stones throw of two actual rivers. Pine scented breeze, gurgling water and wildlife galore, does it get any better than this? This completely remodeled 3-bedroom home feels as if it is off in the woods by itself but is just a 5-minute drive from the shops, galleries, and restaurants of downtown. If the ponies are your preference you are just 5-minutes in the other direction to Ruidoso Downs Racetrack, home of the All American Futurity.

From Two Rivers huge back deck you’ll have panoramic views that you can relish while relaxing on one of the comfortable chairs. Sip your morning coffee outside among the chirping hummingbirds and the fresh mountain breezes; savor a nightcap while pointing out constellations in the star-studded sky. The enormous fenced-in yard offers plenty of space for the kids to play hide-and-seek and for your furry friend to run around as well.

Two Rivers deck will be especially inviting when you return from a day on the slopes, the links, or the hiking trails. Cooking outdoors with the gas grill is especially inviting when the smoke from freshly grilled steak or burgers stimulates all your guest’s senses.

The great room offers the same glorious views as the deck, thanks to its enormous picture window. With its wooden floors, stone-surround wood fireplace, unique western modern furnishings, this room complements the woodland setting perfectly. You’ll hardly be roughing it, however: The leather sofa and armchairs are luxurious spots for watching your favorite cable shows on the flat-screen TV or surfing the web via the free Wi-Fi.

The great room also opens to the dining area, with a large table that easily seats four. Right around the corner is the fully modern kitchen which offers seating for three around the spacious island. No doubt you’ll be heading out to the numerous nearby restaurants for many of your meals, but when you want to cook, you’ll find all the appliances, cookware, and tableware you’ll need in Two Rivers gorgeous marble counter topped kitchen. As a bonus, behind the kitchen, is a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer and utility sink.

Two Rivers is an easy to access one level home with 4 steps to the front door or use the ramp entry. Everything is on this one level including the master suite. From its king-size bed, you’ll wake up to a glorious view of the outdoors. This spacious bedroom also has a flat-screen TV, generous storage, and perhaps best of all, a private bathroom with a large stone walk-in shower and dual vanities. Fully decorated in that cool western vibe. This en-suite bathroom just might become your favorite room in the house.

Two Rivers other 2 bedrooms each have a queen-size bed, a walk-in closet, TV’s, and lovely views; don’t be surprised to see wild turkeys strutting or deer frolicking in the woods while you linger in bed. These rooms share the 2nd bathroom, which has a modern tub with pull up shower.

For even more flora and fauna, head to Grindstone Lake and Trail System, less than two miles away. Not only can you fish, boat, hike, ride mountain bikes and horses, and play disc golf, but you might spy ospreys, mule deer, black bears, and elk while there. Only a 15-minute drive from Two Rivers is Alto Lake and Recreation Area, which has a lake stocked with trout. And you can drive to Ski Apache in just 40 minutes.

There is ample parking for all your guests as well as your own trails down to the rivers edge. Please remember that Ruidoso is a mountain town with snow and icy conditions during the winter. This can affect driving and parking conditions regardless of the property, driveway, or roads. 4x4 or chains and sometimes both may be necessary to access the house during winter months.

2 night minimum - Summer weekends may require 3 nights
