Description:

With three large bedrooms, Mountain Top is perfect for a getaway with another couple or 2. Of course, it can accommodate a family just as comfortably. Kids and adults alike will appreciate the multiple decks with views of Sierra Blanca and the Capitans, the free Wi-Fi, and the proximity to numerous area attractions.

Mountain Top got it's name for a reason... It's a luxury mountain abode nesteled into the hillside with 360 degree views of the surrounding mountain ranges. The outside will be one of the first things you notice about Mountain Top. Don't let the steep drive deter you... Once you get to the top you'll be rewarded. The views from the deck look out onto lush Ponderosa pines and in the distance you can gaze upon the spectacular Sierra Blanca mountain and the Capitan Mountain Range. The back deck has a new HotTub for soaking the day away. You couldn't ask for a more private and beautiful setting! You can cook and dine on the deck as well. Barbecue burgers or fresh-caught fish on the gas grill. Bring a hearty appetite because the fresh mountain breeze transforms even the simplest fare into a feast.

In winter, you’ll probably prefer to eat indoors. Mountain Top's dining table seats 8 people and converts into an entertainment center with pool or ping pong when you're through enjoying your feast. When you still need more space others can sit at the adjacent breakfast bar. On the other side of the bar is the kitchen, equipped with a full complement of appliances, cookware, and tableware. All you have to supply is the food the friends and the appetite.

There’s more than enough space in the living room for everyone to hang out together. From the comfortable sofas and chairs, you can gaze through the picture windows at the majestic mountains or watch a movie on the flat-screen TV. Of course the Pool / Ping pong table will provide hours of entertainment. In winter the new forced air furnace will keep you warm and toasty, while in the summer the central A/C will cool you off when you return from the links or the hiking trail.

The master suite includes a private bathroom with a custom stone shower and is well appointed. The second and third bedrooms are on the other side of the cabin and share a bathroom. Expecting extra guests? The living room couch opens into a bed for two. Game/movie night anyone? We keep a large selection of DVD's and games at the office.
When you arrive at Mountain Top you’ll find all the beds beautifully made up, plenty of clean towels in the bathrooms, and extra bedding ready and waiting, so you can leave your linens at home. In fact, because the house has its own laundry room with washer and dryer, you can pack especially light.

Mountain Top is so convenient you can drive to the Links at Sierra Blanca, Alto Lake and Recreation Area—home to a trout-stocked lake and trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding—in less than 10 minutes. Just beyond the lake is Ruidoso Winter Park, where you can snow tube in winter and soar on a zip line year-round. In 5 minutes you can drive to Grindstone Lake and Trail System, and Ski Apache is only a half-hour away. If you’re looking for less-strenuous activities, you can wander among the art galleries and artisan shops of Sudderth Drive, visit the Hubbard Museum of the American West, and try your luck at Billy the Kid and Inn of the Mountain Gods casinos—they’re all less than 15 minutes away.

If you’re visiting in winter, snowy mountains are one reason you’re here! Regardless of when you visit and what activities are on your agenda, you’ll find Mountain Top your ideal home away from home. Please remember that Ruidoso is a mountain town with snow and icy conditions during the winter. This can affect driving and parking conditions regardless of the property, driveway, or roads. Mountain Top may not be accesible during heavy snow storms (STEEP DRIVEWAY). As we can't predict the weather, please be prepared with 4WD and Tire chains. On the odd occasion when we experience severe snow falls, we cannot guarantee access to the top parking area.
